Mid West Port Authority’s (MWPA) Not-for-Profit Partnership Program worth $22,400 over three years has opened for applications.
The creation of meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships within our community is an important commitment for MWPA.
The Not-for-Profit (NFP) Partnership Program enables MWPA to establish three-year partnerships with carefully selected not-for-profit organisations in the region who are deemed to align with MWPA’s organisational values.
MWPA CEO, Damian Tully said “this program provides a cash component and an in-kind contribution for each of the three years of the program to the successful NFP, providing capacity building opportunities, organisation support and enabling a strong relationship to be built between MWPA and the successful organisations”.
MWPA’s inaugural NFP partner was awarded to the Geraldton Surf Lifesaving Club (SLSC) who demonstrated value alignment and a clear understanding of their priorities and vision for the partnership.
Geraldton SLSC President Sally Mckenzie said “GSLSC were thrilled to be selected as the inaugural NFP Partnership Program recipient. We had a vision of what we were looking for with working with MWPA, but at the time did not realise how helpful it would be.
“Running a club can be a huge undertaking and keeping it relevant to your membership, in the fast pace of life is challenging. Having people to call on to help you along the way has been amazing. It's part mentorship, part business development, part strategic planning. Whatever you need it to be.
“MWPA is giving back to the community in a very tangible way. I look forward to following the progress of other recipients. Thank you so much.”
