This morning, Minister for Ports, Hon David Michael MLA announced the successful recipients of the Mid West Ports’ Community Grants Program. Totalling over $115,000 the program directly supports local events, projects, and initiatives in our community.

Each year, Mid West Ports commits to supporting the vitality of our local communities through its annual Community Grants Program. This initiative reflects our dedication to fostering engagement, development, and financial support within the region.

Mid West Ports CEO Damian Tully said, “Each year, we take pleasure in supporting local events, projects, and initiatives through our Annual Community Grants Program that significantly contribute to our community wellbeing and align with our core values.”

This year, the implementation of Grant Writing Workshops has led to a significant improvement in both the quantity and quality of grant submissions. These free workshops are designed to equip participants with tips and skills for submitting stronger grant proposals. This year's 2024/25 round attracted an impressive 50 submissions.

Mid West Ports selected 18 applications that will fund a diverse array of community festivals, youth engagement activities, upgrades to local facilities, environmental conservation efforts, and public art installations.
